The Lodge is an extremely well operated outfit in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Owned and operated by the Kemp family who have the distinct privilege to call this beautiful land their home for the past 140 years. The term “come as a client and leave as a friend” has never been more true than with this operation.
Personalized Experience
The lodge manger is ideally set up to offer a custom or personalized experience. Flexibility is an understated word with regards to Lalapa Safaris. No matter what type of African experience you are looking for we will work with Lalapa to make sure your hunt is set up to your specifications by putting together a custom itinerary just for you or if you prefer, you can simply choose one of the packages offered
Accommodations
The lodge is situated in a scenic valley where wildlife can be viewed right from your door step. Eastern Cape accommodates a maximum of 10 people from 4 chalets. The lodge and chalets are constructed from natural stone with thatched roofs. The stone and thatched construction makes for a very comfortable ambient temperatures. Truly an African Classic.
Each chalet is equipped with on suite bathrooms, shaving point, hair dryers and heat. Laundry is done daily so you can pack a little lighter.
The main lodge furnishes the dining, entertaining area, lounge and bar. Outside you will find the pool (great for cooling off on those hotter days) as well a thatched roof gazebo and fire pit area where drinks and meals can be served.
The Staff
Rest assured that you are in good hands with our team. The warm & friendly staff are experienced professionals’ who make sure that you are comfortable. The team of PH’s, skinners, trackers and lodge staff are first rate. This lodge has earned its reputation for looking after their clients.
The Food
The meals served at Eastern Cape Lodge are fantastic. Breakfast is tailored for your liking. You can eat light or have a full on bacon and egg style breakfast. Whichever you prefer.
Depending on your hunting plans, lunches are either packed to go or served at the lodge.
Dinners are skillfully prepared 3 course meals. Creative appetizers and amazing soups start your meal experience. Main courses of either domestic or wild meats are cooked to perfection but leave room for one of the fine desert creations your taste buds will thank you. Of course fine South African wines are offered with dinner.
Hunting
What is not to love about hunting in Africa. The trophies are amazing, the food and accommodations are great and the outfitters and staff are the very best. Possibly the best thing about Africa is the value. You just can’t beat the pricing anywhere else.
The options are endless especially at our Eastern Cape Lodge. The Eastern Cape landscape is incredibly diverse. With out having to travel too far, your hunting areas will change from dry and barren to lush and thick, from river bottom to rolling hills, from grassy savanna to mountainous. It’s like a multitude of mini eco systems or environments that host an abundance of species. In all we offer over 30 species in the Eastern Cape.
Hunting is typically conducted by glassing or spotting then formulating a stalking plan once the proper animal has been selected. Our Safaris are totally customizable. Regardless of where, how, when and what you want to hunt, we will put together a Safari custom tailored to your requirements.
In addition to Free Range Hunting in the Eastern Cape we also offer options with leading outfitters in the reputable concessions of Namibia, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. Whether you looking for a luxury lodge in Namibia or a tent camp in the Zambezi Delta – we have an option that is right for you.
